Yamal Don Make More Goals and Assists as Teenager, But Mbappé Still Score Pass Am!

Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé na two young football stars wey dia numbers don make football pipo compare their early careers. New comparison wey Planet Football publish show say Yamal don play plenti senior matches as teenager and don do plenti goals, while Mbappé still get higher number of goals and better scoring rate.

For the figures wey Planet Football use, Yamal don make 190 senior appearances before e comot from teenage age, while Mbappé get 150 appearances for the same period. Yamal score 63 goals e con get 67 assists, e con make am 130 total goal contributions. Mbappé, on the oda hand, score 73 goals and make 48 assists, giving am 121 goal contributions.

But for pure goalscoring, Mbappé still get the stronger number. The French forward average one goal every 136.1 minutes during his teenage career, while Yamal average one goal every 229.8 minutes. Mbappé also average one goal contribution every 82.1 minutes, compared with Yamal’s 109.5 minutes.

This difference dey important because the two players no play exactly the same kind role for their teams. Mbappé develop as forward wey major strength dey around finishing, movement and attacking space, while Yamal don become important for Barcelona because of how e dey create chances, carry ball and provide assists.

Earlier comparison from ESPN too show say Yamal’s production for age 17 get passed Mbappé’s figures for goal contributions among players aged 17 or younger in the available FBref records. ESPN reported that Yamal had 28 goal contributions, compared with Mbappé’s 22 from 15 goals and seven assists during Monaco’s 2016-17 league-winning campaign.

Oda football reports don also show say Yamal dey break some of Mbappé’s early Champions League records. Yamal na the youngest player to score 10 Champions League goals, doing am at 18 years and 248 days, while Mbappé reached the same mark at 18 years and 350 days.

However, the comparison still get one important mata: Yamal’s teenage record no completely finish for di period wey Planet Football use, because e still dey within the age bracket during part of the 2026-27 season. Mbappé’s teenage figures don already close because e don pass 20 years.

So, the figures no tell only one story. Mbappé remain more productive when na goals alone dem dey measure, while Yamal don produce more total goal contributions because of his much higher assist numbers. Their playing roles, number of matches and minutes on the pitch too affect how the figures look.

For Obaland magazine, the numbers dey give football followers beta way to understand the comparison without treating statistics as the only measure of a player. Both players don produce remarkable figures at young age, but their teenage records show different strengths: Mbappé’s record lean more toward goalscoring efficiency, while Yamal’s record lean more toward chance creation and combined goal contributions.

Yamal don record more teenage goal contributions than Mbappé, but Mbappé still lead for goals and scoring efficiency for their teenage careers.
