Veteran Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has a message for Nigerians: stop blaming “village people” for your problems and take responsibility for your life. According to Yul, individuals are often their own obstacles, and the idea that “village people” are holding them back is just an excuse
Yul emphasized that people in the village are busy trying to improve their own lives and don’t have time to focus on holding others back. Instead of blaming others, Yul encourages Nigerians to focus on self-discovery and understanding their roots. He suggests visiting your village, learning about your heritage, and asking questions about your life.
Yul also stressed that the church alone cannot solve all problems, and individuals must take proactive steps to improve their lives. He wrote, “Nobody holds you back but yourself. Go home, learn about your traditions, and ask questions about your life. Know who you are, where you come from, and where you’re headed.”
This isn’t the first time Yul has spoken out on important issues. He recently attributed the rising cases of premature deaths to the neglect of traditional practices and the adoption of foreign religions.
