₦30m Rejected by Pastor Enenche from Kebbi Governor at crusade

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, has respectfully declined a ₦30 million cash donation from the Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris, during a high-profile church crusade in Birnin Kebbi.

The donation was announced by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Social Welfare and Community Development, Zayyanu Umar Aliero, who represented the governor at the Kebbi Healing and Deliverance Crusade a major spiritual gathering organized by Dunamis Church, which drew thousands of worshippers from within and outside the state.

Aliero conveyed the governor’s goodwill and publicly declared the ₦30 million cash contribution on stage, stating that the funds were ready to be handed over immediately to the crusade’s organising committee.

“Our Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Nasir Idris, who is the only Comrade Governor in the country, has graciously approved this ₦30 million donation to support this crusade. As always, he follows his word with action,” Aliero announced.

However, moments later, Dr. Enenche mounted the stage and, in a firm yet courteous manner, declined the offer. The respected cleric urged that such funds should rather be channeled into social welfare initiatives.

“If there’s an orphanage or a similar cause, please, at your discretion, direct this money there. We will not receive it,” Pastor Enenche declared, drawing applause from the congregation.

He emphasized that Dunamis Church maintains a strict policy against accepting funds sourced from public coffers, insisting that government resources should be strictly used for the welfare of the people and public infrastructure.

“No single kobo from any government built the Glory Dome in Abuja. It was entirely funded by the faithful. This is how we keep our prophetic voice bold and uncompromised,” he added.

Dr. Enenche further advised that if the governor was keen on supporting religious initiatives, it would be more appropriate to do so through established bodies like the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) or the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, where transparency and oversight are guaranteed.

In a measured response, Commissioner Aliero commended Pastor Enenche’s principled stand, describing it as a mark of sincerity and integrity.

“We admire his honesty and selfless commitment to God’s work. His refusal shows he’s truly doing this for God, and we respect that,” Aliero noted.

The crusade proceeded with intense worship, prayers, and healing sessions, as thousands in attendance sought spiritual renewal and blessings.
