Edo Special Security Squad Take Aim At Cult Leaders in Edo North, Central

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

Mr Odutola said Mr Taiwo was arrested after attempting to attack members of the community who had raised the alarm.

She said: “The Ogun State Police Command, as part of the command’s efforts to combat criminal activities in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, has carried out the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect, Afolabi Taiwo, from Abioro community, Sango-Ota.” Afolabi After attempting to commit the crime, he was arrested by the diligent officers of the Sango Police Station with the assistance of the Sosafe Squad.

“This incident occurred on November 1, 2023, when Afolabi jumped onto the complainant’s property on Abiolo Street. Fortunately, the quick action of the complainant who raised the alarm led to the neighbors This attracted the attention of Afolabi, who was arrested on the spot.” Efforts are currently underway to arrest additional members of the group.

“During subsequent interrogation, Afolabi confessed to being a member of the proscribed cult group Aye Brotherhood. He confessed that he joined the cult in Ajah, Lagos State in 2020. This disclosure “This is of critical importance as it will enable the police to gather further information and expedite efforts to arrest other members involved in Afolabi’s statement,” Ogun State Corps said.
