34-year-old Ogun woman found dead in canal

A 34-year-old woman, Bidemi Damilola, was found dead in a shallow canal a few steps from a pig farm in Mabolfon area of ​​Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

PUNCH Metro learned from the Ogun State Police Command that the body of the deceased had gone missing until finally recovered on Friday.

The husband of the deceased, Mr. Adekunle Fetiga, who led the search, immediately contacted the Igbeba police in the area and reported the incident.
According to the command, Ms Fetiga claimed that her family became worried after the woman left home on Thursday and did not return.

The command also said that two pairs of slippers believed to belong to the deceased were found next to a shallow canal.
