Ogun So-Safe arrests ex-convict for alleged theft of AC

Ogun So-Safe, the Community, Social Orientation, and Safety Corps in Ogun State, has reported the arrest of Ezekiel Thankgod, an ex-convict, for the alleged theft of an air conditioning unit in the Ojuore area of Sango, Ogun State. According to the Corps Commandant, Soji Ganzallo, Thankgod was apprehended by So-Safe operatives during a routine patrol in the early hours of Friday.

Thankgod, who resides in a neighboring street to where the theft occurred, confessed to the crime upon interrogation. He also revealed that he had recently been released from a correctional facility . The suspect, a 24-year-old, was caught vandalizing and stealing a Royal Air Conditioner from Covenant Stores in Oju-Ore, Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Thankgod had a history of stealing money and phones and had been previously arrested for similar offenses. Various items, including charms, cowries, and a lighter, were recovered from the suspect. The suspect, along with the recovered items, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation and possible prosecution.

This incident highlights the efforts of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps in maintaining law and order in the state. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in preventing and apprehending criminals.
