According to sources within the police department, upon reaching their gate, four armed individuals approached the family and forcefully dragged them out of the vehicle. They then abducted Adebayo and fled the scene in a white Highlander Jeep with registration number BDG 125 HZ. The other family members were left behind.

The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident and launched a rescue mission to locate and safely retrieve the victim. The Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has instructed the tactical team of the command to intensify their efforts in tracking down the suspects and rescuing Adebayo.

In a separate incident, the Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of the Eiye confraternity in the Itori area of Ewekoro Local Government Area. The arrest was made following reports of gunshots in the vicinity of the state-owned D.S. Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic.

The police swiftly responded to the reports and apprehended the suspect, identified as Oluwafemi Johnson, who claimed to be a resident of Badagry in Lagos State. During the interrogation, Johnson confessed to being a member of the Eiye cult group. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.

The Ogun State Police Command is committed to ensuring the safety and security of its residents. The incidents of kidnapping and cult activities are being taken seriously, and law enforcement agencies are working diligently to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
