A 37-year-old woman, Fatima Abubakar, has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command in Yola South Local Government Area for allegedly torturing two toddlers in her care.
The arrest followed an investigation revealing that the woman subjected the children to physical abuse because they urinated and defecated in the house. The victims, a two-year-old girl and a young boy, were reportedly assaulted by Abubakar.
Witnesses reported that Abubakar, who has no children of her own, had a history of mistreating the toddlers, often denying them food and warning neighbors not to interfere. The suspect confessed to the abuse after her arrest, and authorities have confirmed that she will be charged in court.
