Davido Opens Up About Rift with Tiwa Savage

Davido referred to Tiwa Savage as his “big sis,” saying, “That’s my sister, man. She’s cool. I remember when all of us, me and Tiwa used to stay in the same house.” He added, “She saw me as a youngin’, you know what I’m saying?” The two artists have a long history, and Davido’s comments suggest a deep affection for Tiwa Savage.

Davido explained that the rift between them was related to a personal issue, specifically a custody battle over his daughter. He said, “The situation with Tiwa was like kind of personal, she’s very, very good friends with the mom of my daughter, my first daughter, which you know, we were in court, having custody and stuff like that.” Davido felt that Tiwa Savage was taking sides, leading to a disagreement between them.

Davido downplayed the significance of the rift, saying, “So we just got into a little argument. It was nothing, it was just like brothers and sisters arguing.” He emphasized that their relationship is stronger than any temporary disagreement.

Tiwa Savage lodged a police complaint against Davido, accusing him of making threats against her after she posted a photo of herself with the mother of Davido’s first daughter. The incident sparked a heated debate on social media, with many fans taking sides.

Davido’s comments suggest a commitment to moving forward and putting the past behind him. He has previously spoken about his desire to focus on his music and family, and it appears that he is eager to put any disagreements with Tiwa Savage behind him.

Davido’s words can be seen as a message of unity and a call to put aside differences. As a prominent figure in the music industry, his comments may help to promote a sense of camaraderie and cooperation among artists.
