President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday presided over an expanded session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House, Abuja, held in honour of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The solemn gathering brought together members of the Federal Executive Council, some state governors, and members of the Buhari family, including his son, Yusuf Buhari, to pay tribute to the late leader.
The late former president, who died at the age of 82 in a London clinic on Sunday, was buried on Tuesday in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The special session served as a moment of reflection for council members and close associates, many of whom worked closely with Buhari during his time in office.
