Communities in Edo State’s Orhionmwon and Uhunmwode Federal Constituency have received another round of solar street light installations, courtesy of Hon. Chief Dr. Billy Famous Adesuwa Osawaru, the Member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives.
The initiative, is part of a broader effort to enhance security and promote sustainable energy use across the area, it marks a continuation of Hon. Osawaru’s commitment to grassroots development.
The solar-powered street lights, already being installed in strategic locations, aim to improve night time visibility, boost local economic activities, and foster a safer environment for residents and visitors alike.
According to community members, the street lights have already begun to transform the atmosphere in key areas, encouraging businesses to extend their operating hours and improving road safety.
It would be recalled that barely a year ago, Hon. Osawaru facilitated the installation of over 300 solar street lights in selected communities across the constituency. The current phase reinforces his dedication to sustainability, consistent delivery, and responsive representation.
Residents and traditional leaders in the benefiting areas have praised the federal lawmaker for his continued efforts in delivering impactful projects. Many expressed gratitude and offered prayers for his continued strength and capacity to serve.
