Edo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of infrastructures and warned trespassers to stay away from all ongoing project sites.
The government in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu in Benin City warned trespassers to steer clear of all project sites across the state or risk being arrested and prosecuted.
The Commissioner urged every body to be vigilante and guard against trespassers and imbibe maintenance culture of government projects.
According to him, the ongoing Ramat Park Flyover in Benin City, the renovation and rehabilitation of secondary schools, road constructions and other projects are being embarked upon by reputable companies for the benefit of residents.
Ohonbamu noted that the projects form part of Governor Okpebholo’s vision to transform the state with infrastructures which should be jealously guided.
According to him, the development going on would significantly transform Edo State and contribute to the state’s economic growth, adding that completion of the projects would be a game-changer for the state and its people.
The Commissioner therefore issued a stern warning to trespassers to desist from tampering with any government projects with the intention to sabotage the administration’s efforts.
” The government use this medium to sound a note of warning to them to desist from such acts because any one caught will be prosecuted,” he added.
While commending the expertise of all the contractors handling the projects, Ohonbamu expressed optimism that they would deliver as promised.
The Commissioner reiterated Governor Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to delivering all the projects embarked by the state government, which he personally supervises.
Hon Ohonbamu stressed that the Okpebholo-led administration, through its proactive SHINE agenda has embarked on significant investment on road infrastructures across the state to link rural communities, with the support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
