Delta APC Chairman, Elder Sobotie, Senatorial Chairmen Brief Gov. Oborevwori on Party’s Development

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State, wishes to inform the general public that earlier today, the State Chairman of the Party, Elder Omeni Sobotie, led the Party’s Senatorial Chairmen on a strategic visit to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, to present a comprehensive briefing on the state of affairs of the APC across the three senatorial districts.

The high-level delegation consisted of Ogbueshi Adizue Eluaka, Chairman, Delta North Senatorial District; Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Chairman, Delta Central Senatorial District; and Mr. Austin Oribioye, Chairman, Delta South Senatorial District.

In his presentation, Elder Sobotie highlighted the ongoing efforts of the Party leadership to consolidate its structures at the grassroots, mobilize membership across the wards and local governments, and strengthen internal cohesion ahead of future political engagements.

He emphasized that the Party, under his stewardship, remains committed to inclusiveness, transparency, and strategic planning in order to position the APC as the Party of choice for the people of Delta State.

During the briefing, the State Chairman also commended the Governor on his administration’s development drive, particularly the execution of various infrastructural projects across the State under the M.O.R.E. Agenda, which he noted has put smiles on the faces of Deltans.

Each of the Senatorial Chairmen, in turn, provided detailed reports on developments within their respective zones. They outlined progress recorded in membership drive, stakeholder engagement, and community-level participation, while also noting the challenges that require collective intervention.

Responding, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori warmly thanked the Delta APC Chairman and the Senatorial Chairmen for their proactive leadership and dedication to advancing the Party’s interests across the State. He commended their resilience in sustaining the Party’s structures and reaffirmed his recognition of their efforts in keeping the APC visible and vibrant at the grassroots.

The Governor further assured the delegation of his continued support and collaboration with the Party leadership in building a united, formidable, and forward-looking APC that is capable of meeting the yearnings of the people and competing strongly in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. He urged the Party leaders to sustain their momentum, deepen outreach across all communities, and remain committed to the ideals of service, accountability, and unity.
