In a bid to enhance international cooperation and broaden its humanitarian outreach, the Obaland Voluntary Organisation recently visited Maria Grazia Grippo, President of the Consiglio Comunale (City Council), to discuss collaborative pathways for social development and civic engagement.

The Obaland delegation was led by Dr. Nicolas Grande, Vice President of the organisation, accompanied by the Public Relations Officer, Amien Doris, and Obaland journalist, Fortunato Omos — popularly known as Lucky Omosigho.

A Dialogue for Collaboration and Growth

During the cordial meeting, discussions focused on the organisation’s global objectives in youth empowerment, community service, and cross-cultural partnerships.
Dr. Grande reaffirmed Obaland’s commitment to strengthening humanitarian projects that connect Africa and Europe, noting that “true change happens when communities unite beyond borders.”

“Our goal is to expand cooperation through education, media, and grassroots advocacy,” Dr. Grande said. “Obaland stands ready to work with international partners who share our vision of a fairer, more compassionate world.”

Grippo’s Encouraging Words

In her remarks, Maria Grazia Grippo, President of the Consiglio Comunale, commended the organisation for its commitment to voluntary service and community impact.
She encouraged Obaland to pursue broader partnerships and align with other existing associations to amplify its humanitarian footprint.

“I applaud your dedication to service,” Grippo stated. “My advice is for Obaland to spread its wings and collaborate with other voluntary organisations already operating within and beyond our region. Together, you can create a stronger, more unified front for social progress.”

Her words resonated with the delegation, underscoring the importance of synergy in achieving sustainable development and civic transformation.

Driving Social Impact Through Media and Advocacy

Obaland Voluntary Organisation continues to champion human rights, education, and media transparency through its various initiatives.
Obaland Magazine—its media arm—has been instrumental in highlighting community issues, celebrating local heroes, and promoting ethical journalism under the leadership of Lucky Omosigho.

According to Omosigho, the visit to Grippo represents “a milestone in Obaland’s journey toward establishing meaningful partnerships that can bridge communities and cultures.”

“This meeting is not just symbolic,” he said. “It reinforces our belief that collaboration and dialogue are vital tools for achieving peace, progress, and empowerment.”

Both parties expressed optimism about future collaborations aimed at social development, cultural exchange, and volunteer engagement.
The visit concluded on a note of mutual respect and commitment to building a stronger network of civic organisations dedicated to human advancement.
