↵Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has reaffirmed his administration’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption, insisting that no contractor has ever paid a bribe to secure government projects under his leadership.
The Governor issued this position during a courtesy visit by the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), consisting of 17 political party chairmen, at Government House, Benin City.
Okpebholo vowed to revoke contracts and sack any contractor failing to meet performance standards.
My service is to the people of Edo,” the Governor said. “We will not tolerate mediocrity or favoritism. Anyone who compromises project quality will be removed.”
He further emphasized commitment to the SHINE Agenda and called for unity beyond party affiliations, noting:
“I am Governor for all Edo people. Together, we will build a state we can be proud of.”
IPAC leaders commended ongoing legacy projects, particularly the Ramat Park Flyover, and pledged cooperation to further advance development across the State.
