A disturbing incident has rocked Taraba State, Nigeria, where a 17-year-old girl, Iwasen Terhemba, was brutally attacked and disfigured by a housewife, Ramatu Abbas, allegedly fueled by jealousy over her husband’s interest in the teenager.
The incident, which occurred in Donga town, Donga Local Government Area, has sparked widespread outrage, with residents demanding justice. According to sources, Ramatu’s husband had repeatedly approached the teenager, who lives with her guardian, Jemila Wanga, but she had rejected his advances.
Acting on suspicion, Ramatu allegedly stormed the guardian’s residence and used a razor to disfigure the teenager’s face. The police have confirmed the incident, with the suspect in custody and the victim receiving medical attention. The case will soon be charged to court.
