The Edo State Police Command has announced the commencement of the physical and credentials screening exercise for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.
The exercise began on March 9, 2026, at the Police Training School, Ogida, Benin City, and is being conducted in an orderly and transparent manner.
According to the Command, senior police officers and officials of the Police Service Commission (PSC) are present at the venue to monitor the screening process and ensure compliance with established recruitment guidelines.
Applicants who successfully completed their applications and have the word “QUALIFIED” on their submission slips but are unable to locate their invitation letters have been advised to forward a copy of their submission slip to info@psc.gov.ng for necessary action.
Candidates are required to present the following documents at the screening venue:
Invitation Slip (with assigned table)
Credential and Physical Screening Form
Original National Identity Number (NIN) slip or NIMC card
O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate
Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
Local Government/State of Origin Certificate
Trade Test Certificate (for specialist applicants only)
Duly completed and signed Guarantor’s Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached
Applicants are also expected to present both original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly arranged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached.
In addition, candidates must appear for the screening exercise dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings.
The Edo State Police Command assured the public that the exercise would continue in a fair, transparent, and merit-based manner.
Applicants were also advised to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and strictly adhere to instructions provided by officials at the screening centre.
The Command further reiterated that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge, warning applicants to be cautious of individuals who may attempt to extort money from them under the guise of offering assistance.
