The Edo State Government has approved a minor re-assignment of key officials in the state’s revenue sector as part of efforts to strengthen and sustain its revenue drive.
Under the new arrangement, the current Chairman of the Edo State Audit Service Commission, Mr. Odior John Osirenimhe, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Edo State Internal Revenue Service (EIRS).
He succeeds Hon. Otunba Oladele Bankole-Balogun, who has resigned from the position to pursue his aspiration in the forthcoming elections.
Consequently, Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien, who currently serves as an Executive Director in the Edo State Internal Revenue Service, has been re-assigned to the Edo State Audit Service Commission as its Chairman.
In addition, Mr. Victor Oamen Enemare has been appointed to replace Mr. Idiake Patrick Akhimien at the Edo State Internal Revenue Service.
The re-assignments and appointment take immediate effect.
