Residents of Oredo Ward 1 have commended the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for the implementation of his SHINE Agenda, as ongoing road rehabilitation projects continue to improve infrastructure within the area.
The project, being executed through the Oredo Local Government Council under the leadership of its Chairman, Hon. Engr. Gabriel Iduseri, is aimed at enhancing access roads and bringing development closer to the grassroots.
It will be recalled that following the distribution of earth-moving equipment by the state government to the 18 local government areas, the Oredo Council boss immediately deployed the machinery to commence work, starting from Ward 3.
The intervention has now extended to Ward 1, where rehabilitation of key access roads is currently underway. The Councillor representing the ward, Hon. Paul Oduwa Igbinosun, was seen supervising the project to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Igbinosun noted that the council chairman remains committed to driving the SHINE Agenda at the grassroots level, with a focus on opening up roads across wards and improving the living conditions of residents.
Residents and stakeholders in the area expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely, especially with the approaching rainy season. They noted that the project would ease movement for motorists and pedestrians while addressing long-standing infrastructural challenges.
Community leaders also commended Governor Okpebholo, Hon. Iduseri, and Hon. Igbinosun for what they described as people-oriented leadership, adding that the collaboration between the state, local government, and ward representatives has continued to yield tangible results.
They expressed optimism that the ongoing efforts would bring sustained development and improved quality of life to residents of Oredo Ward 1.
The council chairman, Hon. Iduseri, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to road rehabilitation across all 12 wards in the local government area as part of efforts to deepen grassroots development.
