Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has inaugurated 177 newly constructed shops, a modern motor park, and several complementary infrastructure projects in Oyo town, describing the development as part of his administration’s commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth and improving the welfare of residents.

The newly commissioned projects are designed to provide a safer and more organized business environment for traders, enhance transportation services, and stimulate commercial activities across the ancient town. The governor said the initiatives align with his administration’s broader vision of strengthening local economies while creating opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises.

Speaking during the inauguration, Makinde emphasized that sustainable development goes beyond road construction and public buildings, noting that strategic investments in markets, transport infrastructure, and public facilities directly improve livelihoods and encourage private sector participation.
