A devastating multiple-vehicle crash on Kara Bridge, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, has claimed two lives and left several others injured. The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. when a loaded long truck fell on its side, colliding with a Toyota Corolla, a Toyota RAV4 SUV, and two loaded interstate Mazda buses.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported that its officers were on the scene managing the incident, and tow vehicles were contacted to evacuate the wrecked vehicles and clear the roadway. Injured victims have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment, and recovery operations are ongoing.
The crash has caused a significant traffic backlog, extending back to the Secretariat area and River Valley/Kosoko. Motorists are advised to avoid the Ojodu-Berger axis to expect significant delays
