Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma’s administration has announced the immediate, indefinite suspension of all academic activities.
The College in an update endorsed by its Acting Enlistment center, Ambrose Odiase, said the suspension of scholarly exercises became important following a crisis meeting of the college’s Senate in Ekpoma on Monday, to evaluate fight by understudies that had run into days.
The management says, “The senate was left with no other choice but to direct an immediate suspension of academic activities to prevent a total breakdown of law and order as well as the need to guarantee the safety of lives and property in the university community and its environs.”
“With this impact, all understudies dwelling in the lodgings nearby are to abandon the corridors of home in the following 24 hours.
“This means that no understudy ought to be seen in or around the corridors of home of the college by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday fifth September 2023.
It would be reviewed that understudies of the College had been fighting a supposed expansion in school charges for returning understudies for around four days.
The dissent disturbed scholastic exercises and a planned recognition administration to pay tribute to a late Teacher of Financial matters, Moses Isunu Aliemen.
