The Assemblies of God Church pastor Chukwuemeka Orji has been arrested, according to the Abia State Police Command, for allegedly defiling a 13-year-old domestic worker in the state’s Aba region.
ASP Chinaka Maureen, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed Orji’s arrest and stated that the case was still under investigation.
Jonathan leads an election mission to Sierra Leone on June 21, 2023, when he arrives in Freetown.
PUNCH Metro learned that the 60-year-old pastor allegedly left the victim with bruises and caused her psychological trauma while he was committing the crime.
It was discovered that Orji had been sexually involved with the victim since she was 12 years old, and he had taken her from her family with the promise to pay for her education.
In a bid to quiet the person in question, the pastor purportedly took steps to quit supporting her schooling and send her back to her relatives on the off chance that she informed anybody about the illegal demonstrations.
The 13-year-old girl described her experience with the pastor, saying that when she started leaving with Orji, he frequently made sexual advances that she rejected.
She, on the other hand, mentioned that things took a different turn when the pastor allegedly had carnal knowledge of her by force sometime in 2022, and she added that this became a regular occurrence after that.
On Thursday, June 15, 2023, Orji failed miserably, according to family sources, when he attempted to coerce the minor but discovered that she was on her period.
It was alleged that he coerced her into having oral sex with him.

He sent her to cut grass at a farm within the church premises as a punishment for being on her period before she was allowed to go to school.”
“When the victim arrived at school, she reported the pastor to her class teacher because she could no longer bear the pastor’s behavior. The proprietor of the school was informed by the teacher, who in turn informed Lady Nwosu, Executive Director of Vivacious Development Initiative. Chuka Okoye, a colleague, then called the police and the pastor was taken into custody.
Our correspondent learned that Orji was arraigned on Tuesday at a Magistrate Court in the state’s Aba South Local Government Area. He was remanded to the Abia State Correctional Centre with a bail condition pending the outcome of his cases.
In the meantime, Rev. Dr. Don Njoku, the Aba District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, responded to the development by stating that Orji had been sanctioned and kicked out of the ministry.
He made the statement to Norah Okafor’s Protect the Precious Foundation.
“Assemblies of God Church is a holiness organization,” Njoku stated. We oppose all forms of promiscuity. We preach against what our pastor did. Therefore, he is aware that he has been sanctioned, despite the fact that the announcement has not yet been made public.
“He knows that in our constitution, anyone who does such a thing is kicked out of the church. On Sunday, we will go to his church to tell the members to put an official stop to it. We will also tell them to cheer up and keep going in the race. Because when a soldier is hit by a bullet, other soldiers don’t shrink. They keep going, but all they will need to do is be more careful, knowing that people fall and die in battle.
Therefore, it is evident that Rev. Chukwuemeka Orji has been removed from ministry and suspended. This is what we do when a member of our group does something like that, even if the government doesn’t do anything about it. This is because what he did is against what we prohibit, what the Bible prohibits, and what we speak and stand against.

WhatsApp: +2348030797998 Editor’s Note On Wednesday, in a story titled “6 Things to Know About New EFCC Chairman,” we mentioned Mohammed Abba Umar as the Director of Operations of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission. Umar was given the task of taking over as head of the anti-graft agency after Abdulrasheed Bawa was suspended as chairman. Since then, we’ve learned that Umar is no longer the agency’s Director of Operations, so he’s not the right person to take over as Acting Chairman of the EFCC. Mr. Abdulkarim Chukkol is the agency’s Director of Operations and was given the task of succeeding Bawa as acting chairman. As a result, we apologize to the concerned officers for providing incorrect information.
