Esther .O. Edokpayi also known as “Lady of Songs” (born 01/04/1981) Edo State, is an Edo Funk singer, sound track producer, and a Philanthropist. Best known for her songs such as “Owamagbomwan” Omakon (Feat. Influence Akaba) “Ose-Neghian”, “KENIYAHENUWE” . In 2009, she performed her debut song in Edo language “Owamagbomwan” meaning “If your home doesn’t kill you” at Igue festival and became a theme song in Edo State.
Early life:
Esther Edokpayi was born in Benin City to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Edokpayi from Evbuesi, a province of Iyekoriomwon Local Government area of Edo State. She is a biological mother of four children.
Music & Filmography Career:
Esther Edokpayi started her musical career at the age of 10yrs and professionally in the year 2009, while she is also a protege of Nollywood film producer Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen . In 2011, she joined Nollywood Nigeria Cinema playing several to lead roles. Her debut music album titled “Owamagbomwan” was released in 2009 and performed in festivals such as Igue Festival, Izeki Festival and Ekaba Festival of Usonigbe. In 2020, she had released seven studio recorded albums and over 20 singles to her name. Her albums had gained rotational TVs and radio airplay in Edo State and beyond. In 2021, she toured internationally with her band to perform as a guest artist at the annual Edo Festival Award in United Kingdom and Dublin Irish Festival.
