According to race officials, one female participant abruptly stopped mid race to perform a full split pose while gesturing for photographs, forcing runners behind her to change course to avoid collision. In a separate incident, a male runner was filmed carrying a backpack filled with dozens of energy gels and food items collected from supply stations along the marathon route.
