The Kwara State Police Command has recovered the dismembered body of a pregnant woman packed inside a sack in the Egbejila area of Ilorin. A suspect, identified as Sylvester Enemo, the younger brother of the victim’s husband, has been arrested in connection with the tragic incident.
According to the police, the incident occurred on August 25, 2025, at Temidire community, Egbejila Road, Ilorin. The victim, Esther Enemo, aged 39, was discovered in the bush behind her residence, with her body parts concealed in a sack and dumped beneath a nearby community bridge. The police have evacuated the remains and deposited them at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) morgue for autopsy.
Sylvester Enemo, who was seen leaving the house a few minutes before the discovery of the incident, has been arrested and is currently assisting the police with their investigation. The police have also contacted the victim’s husband, Ekene Enemo, for necessary clarification.
The Commissioner of Police, Kwara State Command, CP Ojo Adekimi, has ordered a full-scale investigation into the matter, assuring that the Command will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that justice is served. The police have reassured citizens that adequate security strategies have been reinforced across the state to safeguard lives property
