The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Gbenga Agun, on Thursday slumped and died shortly after participating in a public function in Benin City, the state capital.
The commandant had just made his remarks at the event when he suddenly collapsed. Efforts were made to revive him before he was rushed to the Military Base Hospital in Benin.
At the hospital, however, he was confirmed to be Brought In Dead on arrival.
