The Edo State Police Command has responded to a viral video circulating on social media, which alleges the kidnapping of a couple in the Aviele area of the State.
In an official statement, the Command confirmed that it has taken immediate action following the emergence of the video. All necessary operational and investigative measures have been activated to secure the safe release of the victims and apprehend those responsible for the crime.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, fdc, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident. He assured that anyone found to be involved, either directly or indirectly, will be arrested and prosecuted in line with the law.
The Command urged the general public to remain calm and continue to support security efforts by sharing credible and useful information that may aid the ongoing investigation.
