In fulfilment of his earlier promise to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal on Edo State residents, the State Government flagged off its free transport scheme on Monday.
Governor Obaseki, who recently approved free transport services for passengers on all routes plied by the state-owned Edo City Transport Service Ltd (ECTS)
Governor Godwin Obaseki advised the people to use the ECTS free buses regularly, saying that the state government designed the gesture to help its residents get over the hardship caused by the fuel subsidy removal. The routes includes;
EDO STATE FREE BUS INTRA CITY ROUTES
1. Airport Road junction, 6.30am-7.00am.
2. Main Terminal at Kingsquare 6.30am-7.00am
3. Igun junction at Sokponba Rd 6.30am-7.00am
4. Ramat park by ECTS 6.30am-7.00am
5. New Benin by Mission Rd junction 6.30am- 7.00am
6. Upper Mission Extension by Oando Aduwawa6.30am-7.00am
7. lbiwe 6.30am – 7.00am
INTER CITYROUTES.
8. Ekiosa by Sokponba Rd to Uronigbe 8.00am
9. ECTS along Forestry and Ramat Park to Uzebba and Otuo 2.00pm.
10. ECTS Ramat Park to
Auchi, Igarra, Ososo, Ibillo, Ubiaja, Uromi, Ewatto, Ewohimi and Abudu 8.00am
