Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has congratulated the National Women’s Football team, Super Falcons, for the 3-2 victory over co-hosts, Australia in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Governor said It was a nerve-wracking end to an intriguing encounter, but amazingly Super Falcons emerged victorious.
The governor pledged to root for them as they go for another victory in their next game against Ireland and secure a place in the knockout phases of the Women’s World Cup.
Goals from Uchenna Kanu, Osinachi Ohale, and Asisat Oshoala secured the win for Super Falcons at Suncorp Stadium.
