Obaland Magazine learned that the Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Prophetess Mrs. Dupe Francis on her 45th birthday celebration, commending her commitment to the welfare of vulnerable persons in the state.
The governor, at an event to mark her 45th year birthday and the official launch of her Orphanage Home in Benin City, described the cleric as a virtuous woman and selfless spiritual leader, who has dedicated her life to the service of God and mankind.
Obaseki was accompanied by his deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu and the Secretary to State Government (SSG), Barr. Osarodion Ogie, among other top government functionaries.
According to the governor, “this great woman has gathered all of us here today, not to ask us for donations to celebrate her birthday, but to ask for a commitment from us to make life better for orphans in the society. She gathered us all here to encourage us to give back to society.
“She loves children, orphans, and the vulnerable in society and has continued to strive hard to make life better for them all. She is a good and special woman, who is never afraid to express herself doing the things of God.”
On his part, Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Victor Edos Ebomoyi, described the cleric as an embodiment of peace and love, hailing her passion and show of concern for the weak and downtrodden in the society.
