The Edo State Police Command has continued its intensified operations against violent crimes, cult activities, kidnapping, and armed robbery across the state. Between 15th and 26th November 2025, the Command recorded several significant operational successes as part of its ongoing commitment to public safety and security.

1. Arrest of Seven Eiye Cult Members and Recovery of Exhibits
On 15 November 2025, operatives of the Uromi Division, acting on credible intelligence, stormed a hospital in Uromi and arrested seven suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity.

The suspects were allegedly holding a strategic meeting to plan an attack on rival cult group, the Aye Confraternity, following a violent clash on 14 November between one alias “I Dey Chop” (Eiye) and Asuelimen Saviour (Aye), during which both sustained injuries.

Recovered items include: One battle axe and Various cult paraphernalia, Asuelimen Saviour was arrested the following day, 16 November 2025.Investigation is ongoing.
2. Renewed Clampdown on Cultism, Multiple Arrests and Firearm Recovery Continuing its crackdown on cult-related operations, Uromi Division operatives on 23 November 2025 arrested the following suspects during a coordinated raid.
Godspower Ehihanor (24)Miracle Akhigbe(27), Miracle Kasheka (25) and Honest Idemudia (24)During interrogation, Godspower Ehihanor confessed to being a member of the Aye Confraternity.
Further progress was made on 25 November 2025 at about 11:30 p.m., when operatives intercepted two female suspects: Believe Ehinor (18)Ofoma Sofia (19)
The suspects were found in possession of an automatic pump-action shotgun (Breach No. 0230) with five live cartridges concealed in a sack. They confessed that the firearm belonged to Peace Ehinor, who escaped during an earlier raid.
All suspects have been charged to court, while efforts continue to apprehend fleeing accomplices.
3. Arrest of Suspected Kidnapper On 25 November 2025 at about 7:30 p.m., Uromi Division operatives, acting on intelligence and technical surveillance, arrested Usman Shagari of Elushi, Ubiaja.
He is believed to be part of the gang responsible for the kidnapping of Daniel Okoekhian and his wife on 22 November 2025. investigation is ongoing.
4. Rescue of Two Kidnapped Victims
On 22 November 2025, operatives of Egba Division, led by the DPO, conducted a determined bush-combing operation in Ugha Forest, successfully rescuing:
Uwa Greg (47), Airen Osahimwian (37)
The rescue followed a gun duel during which the abductors fled.
The victims, kidnapped on 20 November 2025, received prompt medical care and have been reunited with their families.
5. Armed Robbery Foiled, One Suspect Neutralized, Vehicle Recovered
At about 2:55 a.m. on 21 November 2025, the DPO Ikpoba Hill Division responded to a distress call from Ohovbe area regarding an ongoing armed robbery. Upon arrival, operatives and local vigilante members engaged the robbers, resulting in the neutralization of one suspect, while others escaped.
Items recovered include:
A red Toyota Corolla (Reg. No. BEN 149 BC), Four mobile phones, Three improvised explosive devices (bangers/knock-outs)Assorted charms,
An investigation is underway as efforts continue to track the fleeing suspects.
