The Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, Hon. Osaro Osa Eribo, has announced the indefinite suspension of the proposed inauguration of Iy’eki in all markets across the Local Government.
In a statement issued on Friday, the council boss said the decision became necessary in order to maintain peace and order within the markets.
According to him, Divisional Police Officers and other relevant security agencies have been duly notified and directed to arrest and prosecute any individual or group found attempting to violate the directive.
He therefore urged market leaders, traders, and all concerned to take note of the suspension and ensure full compliance.
“Be properly guided,” Hon. Eribo stated.
