Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs and Emir of Ilorin, has urged Ilorin Emirate residents to abstain from doing anything that is contrary to Movement advances 7,000 officials, redeploys 12 representatives 28th June 2023Islamic customs and practices.

In his Sallah message, the Emir issued the warning shortly after the two-Rakat prayer for the 2023 Eid-El-Kabir celebrations led by Alhaji Abdullahi Abdulhamid, the Imam Imale of Ilorin.

The Emir stated in his message that there should be no idolatry events held within the Ilorin Emirate. He also emphasized that those planning such events should think about other locations that are far away from the Ilorin Emirate.

He expressed, “Assembling at the Eid imploring ground is to go along with me in performing strict commitments of saying thanks to All-powerful Allah for His various endowments on us and nothing that is against Islamic direction ought to be joined to it.”

In his written address, the Emir thanked Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, for ensuring that the state’s peace and tranquility continued to thrive. He also urged the people to maintain their security awareness by remaining vigilant at all times.

“I thank Almighty Allah for increasing mutual understanding, the spirit of cooperation, and love among our people, especially among our leaders,” the monarch declared. I additionally saluted all Head security specialists for playing out their authority obligations determinedly.

“I thank the people of my Emirate for preserving the traditional peaceful coexistence and harmony for which the Ilorin Emirate is renowned.” I am making use of this opportunity to appeal to all Muslim adherents to uphold their religious responsibilities of living in peace and harmony with others.

“They ought not be engaged with any action(s) that can cause disunity among citizenry.”

Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, on the other hand, pleaded with Allah to grant Al-Jannat ul Firdaus to the souls of the deceased. As a result, he wished those who had traveled for this year’s holy pilgrimage journey mercies and a safe return to their respective homes, saying: All of us merit the Eid-El-Kabir blessings.

Muslims in their millions crowded Eid imploring grounds on Wednesday for the Eid-ul-Adha petitions, with Lead representative AbdulRazaq asking them to be their sibling’s guardians and work for the solidarity and advancement of the country.

The governor and a number of other dignitaries gathered at the central praying ground in Ilorin, the capital, for the prayers, which were led by Imam Imale.

He stated, ” First and foremost, we must thank All-Powerful Allah for allowing us to witness another Eid. Those that went to Hajj, we petition Allah to bring them back securely. On the sidelines of Eid, the governor told reporters, “Our strength is our unity, and we should maximize the peace and unity we enjoy to bring more development to our state.”

Our primary goal is tranquility and peace. Let’s keep our brothers safe. In this nation, we are all hopeful of greater things.
