Foundation Builders and FONWIP Campaign Against Bullying

The government and school authorities have been called upon to set up policy and legal frameworks to punish and caution students against bullying.
The call was made by Foundation Builders in collaboration with Forum of Nigerian Women in Politics during a Sensitization and distribution of note books to schools and Food to orphanage homes in commemoration of children day, 2025.
Speaking at the Pakville Private Schools, Benin City, Mrs. Adodo Joy said the children are enlightened to know their rights and they should speak up against any acts of bullying.
According to her, “children should be enlightened on the need to know their rights. They should be good children, respect their parents, obey them and do the right thing.
“Students should respect their school administration and be active in church activities.”

in a lecture  Comrade Gibson stated that the Child Rights Act, which was domesticated in Edo State in 2007 frowns at bullying.
According to him, Hon Dr. Florence Gbinigie, the President and founder of Forum of Nigerian Women in Politics, FONWIP was behind the domestication of the Child Rights Act in Edo State.
“There is a reason for a child to have their rights protected from abuse and the child should also not abuse the act.
“There should be a policy and legal framework for the government and school authorities to bring up the issue of bullying by setting up punishment and caution measures.
“The teacher should be able to recognize if a child is facing depression due to bullying,” he noted.
The representative of FONWIP,  Adodo Felicia, advised the students to always speak up when they see any of their parents abusing the other.
“We condemn the beating of wives by husbands and the assault of husbands by their wives. You can report any one you know that is being abused to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development or you come to our office.
Also, Pastor Lizzy who prayed for the students said as students, they should speak out when their rights are being abused,” she added.
The Principal of Pakville Schools Mrs. A. Funke Commend the Builders Foundation and FONWIP for the enlightenment which has made them know their rights as children.

There was presentation of Notebooks to the School as well as presentation of food(Cartoons of Indomie) and notebooks to the children of Tender Heart Orphanage Home International, to celebrate 2025 children day with the Orphans.
