From Dublin to Lagos: How TikToker Ashley Keno Built a Global Audience

Nigerian-born content creator Ashley Keno is gaining international attention as a dancer and social media influencer, with his energetic routines and comedy sketches drawing fans across TikTok and Instagram.

Raised between Dublin and Lagos, Keno credits his multicultural upbringing for shaping his creative style. His content blends dance, comedy, and sports-themed performances, a mix that has helped him stand out in the crowded digital space.

Keno’s following grew rapidly during the COVID-19 lockdowns, when demand for online entertainment surged. By posting consistently, he tapped into audiences looking for both humor and creativity while stuck at home.

Collaborations have also fueled his rise. Working with popular creators like Peller, Jersey Joe, Jacob FJ, Timi, Cyclegroover, and JoBlaq has expanded his reach and introduced his work to new audiences.

His path into content creation wasn’t planned. Though he was passionate about entertainment, Keno first pursued formal education in Nigeria before enrolling at Aston University in the UK. Inspired by performers such as Michael Jackson and James Brown, he gradually shifted into dance and digital content, drawing on his experiences across cultures

Observers say Keno’s ability to blend Nigerian and Irish influences with sharp creativity sets him apart. As his profile grows, he’s becoming one of the emerging voices showing how a new generation of African creatives is using digital platforms to reach global visibility
