For the benefit of the public, it is to be announced that the governor of Edo State, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, has authorised the immediate reinstatement of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma employees who were wrongfully laid off by the institution’s now-defunct Special Intervention Team (S.I.T.) in March 2023 while former governor Godwin Obaseki was in office.

As you may remember, the University’s employees who belonged to the Academic Staff Union were wrongfully dismissed from their positions after they protested that the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki had failed to pay them their unpaid salaries and other benefits.
