Edo State Government is on track to deliver dividends of democracy to Edo People and will not be stampeded by criticisms from the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu who disclosed this in a statement in Benin City said that the Governor Monday Okpebholo led Government is on track to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people and the people will not be disappointed.
” Edo State Government strongly condemn acts aimed at undermining government efforts through inciting statements by the PDP.
“These actions, even though the government believes in the freedom of information, are unacceptable,” he noted.
According to the Commissioner, the Government unequivocally condemn acts of the PDP to undermine the developmental efforts of the government.
“The government remains committed to ensuring that all promises made by Governor Monday Okpebholo are delivered and urge all citizens to remain calm, patient and law-abiding.
While urging the people not to be deceived by arm chair critics from the PDP, that could not deliver dividends of democracy to the people when the party was in government, Ohonbamu insist that with a little patience the expectations of Edo people, in infrastructural development and other sectors will be met by the Governor Okpebholo led administration.
“The Government cannot be stampeded because there are laid down road map and actions to be taken by the administration to achieve it’s developmental Programmes for the people,” the Commissioner added.
