Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has extended his heartfelt condolences to retired General Cecil Esekhaigbe and the entire Esekhaigbe family following the passing of their beloved aunt, Mrs Agnes Ibhagbosoria Macaulay.
During a condolence visit to the family, Governor Okpebholo described the loss as deeply painful, expressing profound sympathy to all who mourned her demise.
The Governor noted that the late Mrs. Macaulay lived a life defined by compassion, humility, and selfless service to humanity. He remarked that her gentle spirit, charitable nature, and unwavering devotion to family and community will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
He added that her passing has created a void that will be difficult to fill—not only within her immediate family, but also among friends and associates whose lives she touched through kindness and generosity.
Governor Okpebholo prayed that God, in His infinite mercy, grant the family the strength to bear this irreparable loss and the fortitude to find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with the departed.
He further prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs Macaulay’s soul, asking the Almighty to receive her into His eternal kingdom, where pain and sorrow are no more.
The Governor urged the Esekhaigbe family to remain steadfast in faith and united in love, taking solace in the assurance that Mrs Agnes Ibhagbosoria Macaulay’s soul rests peacefully in the Lord.
