Ndigbo Group has distanced themselves from Mr. Kenechukwu Okeke over a lawsuit against EndSARS supporters.
The Conference of Igbo Youth Professionals Worldwide (CIYPW), has on Wednesday, 11th November 2020, expressed their displeased over the lawsuit filed by one Mr. Kenechukwu Okeke against the Ex-Super Eagle captain, Kanu, Pastor Sam Adeyemi of the Daystar Christan Center, Adeleke David, popularly known as Davido and 47 others for their allegedly involved in promoting the #EndSARS protests, which later resulted in the loss of lives and destruction of properties, as the protests were being hijacked by some miscreants and hoodlums.
The Ndigbo group also disassociated President Muhammadu Buhari from the action of Kenechukwu Okeke, saying he was being sponsored by the fifth columnists just to paint the President and his administration black to the hearts of the world.
CIYPW group whose have a wide network both home and abroad disowned Okeke and his lawsuit against the Nigerians stressed that the acclaimed activist is not known in their fold and also in the southeast geopolitical region of the Country.
The Conference of Igbo Youth Professionals Worldwide, through a statement that was issued and signed to the effect on Wednesday by their President General, Barrister Maduabuchi Nwodo called on Nigerians to disregard the antics of Mr. Kenechukwu Okeke and his cohorts, noted that his actions were not only ill-timed but also mischievous.
Barr. Nwodo said, “This, no doubt, is an anti-progressive and anti-people action that should not have the support of people yearning for a better Nigeria.”
Nwodo said, “Based on the evidence available to us, we make bold to say that he acted as a mole for some fifth columnists who are bent on giving the government a bad name and don’t want the unity of Nigeria.
“We, therefore, call on all Nigerians, Igbo nation home and abroad to appeal to him to drop this ill-timed charges in the interest of peace without further delay.
” Ndigbo must distance themselves from him.”
According to the statement from the  Conference of Igbo Youth Professionals Worldwide which stated that contrary to the picture being painted by Mr. Okeke, his action had no blessings of the people from the southeast extraction, insisting that he was alone in his game.
“Just as we are shocked at the action of Mr. Kenechukwu, we are in utmost disbelief that an Igbo man could be used by some enemies of Nigeria to institute this evil action in court,” it wondered.

The statement read in full: “Our attention has been drawn to a criminal charge filed by one activist Kenechukwu Okeke, against Pastor Sam Adeyemi and 49 other influential  Nigerians at a magistrate court in Abuja over their alleged roles in the recent #EndSARS protests in the country.

“While we acknowledge his fundamental human rights to sue and be sued, we received this with mixed feelings considering that it is not only ill-timed but also mischievous. This, no doubt, is an anti-progressive and anti-people action that should not have the support of people yearning for a better Nigeria.

“Just as we are shocked at the action of Mr. Kenechukwu, we are in utmost disbelief that an Igbo man could be used by some enemies of Nigeria to institute this evil action in court.
“We wish to not only completely disown him but also strongly disassociate ourselves from him.
“As a well recognized and respected Igbo organization, we can authoritatively say here that the so-called Kenechukwu Okeke is not known in the South East region where all members hail from.
He is carrying out his action exclusively on his own and not acting on behalf of Ndigbo.
“We call on all Nigerians not to view his actions as an Igbo agenda but a mischievous agenda carried out for his selfish reasons as directed by his paymasters.
Recalls that the Kenechukwu Okeke has on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against some notable Nigerians for supporting the Nigerian youths during the the#EndSARS protests
