The Jigawa State Police Command has successfully arrested seven suspected drug barons and other suspects in a series of operations conducted across the state between 27 and August 4 2025. These intelligence-driven operations led to the recovery of significant quantities of illicit drugs, vandalized property, and stolen vehicles.

A suspect was arrested with sizable quantities of Indian hemp and other banned substances, and will be transferred to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for prosecution.
– *Suspected Drug Dealers in Hadejia*: Two suspects were arrested with a significant quantity of illicit substances and will also be handed over to the NDLEA for discreet investigation and prosecution.
The police command also foiled a motorcycle theft in Gujungu village, recovering the stolen motorcycle, and arrested suspected vandals, burglars, and tricycle thieves.
The state Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, commended the officers for their swift and effective action, assuring that the command will continue to ensure a safer environment for all. The suspects are currently in custody, assisting the police with further investigation
