Verona, Italy – The Director General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency, Dr. Mrs. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor, has arrived in Verona, Italy, with her official entourage, including Prince Kelly and members of the Diaspora Media Team, as part of a continued effort to deepen engagement with Edo indigenes abroad.
This visit to Verona comes immediately after a successful high-level meeting with the Edo State diaspora community in Rome on Saturday, May 24, 2025, where key issues around collaboration, integration, and development were discussed. The Rome meeting laid a strong foundation for the ongoing outreach and was well-attended by stakeholders and community leaders across Europe.

The mission, initiated by the Executive Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, focuses on the harmonization and awareness of the Edo State Diaspora Agency, with a vision to reconnect and empower Edo sons and daughters living abroad.
In Verona, Dr. Ogboro-Okor and her team are expected to meet with local Edo community members to build on the momentum from Rome, share the agency’s roadmap, and listen to the voices of the diaspora.
This series of strategic engagements signals a new chapter in Edo State’s global outreach, reaffirming Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to harnessing the potential of the diaspora for the state’s socio-economic development.
More updates to follow as the Verona meetings commence.
