Board of Directors of Mater Africa have congratulated Mr. John Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey on his appointment by the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC as an Ambassador of the Commission.
The President of Mater Africa Association Italy-Nigeria, Albarto Cicala in a statement on behalf of the Board members congratulated Daddy Showkey, a singer, Actor, Anchorman, producer and a Coordinator, Mater Africa for the well-deserved appointment.
“We are happy that as an ambassador, you will successfully lead the campaign against the use of drugs because you do not indulge in drinking nor smoke and therefore you will be a good ambassador for so many people in the country where there is high rate of the use of illicit drugs.
“It is our earnest expectation that you will succeed in the task ahead and do what you know how to do best touching the lives of the people positively,” the statement added. `
Mater Africa, a non-government organization works in Nigeria to help local artisans develop their skills and promote their culture, offers training courses in Italy, audio visual support to humanitarian projects, online radio dedicated to migrants and a film school.
