Edo State Attorney General, Dr. Samson Osagie, has urged members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) to conduct their activities within the bounds of the law.
The Attorney General gave the charge during a courtesy visit by delegates of NANS to the Ministry of Justice, stressing the importance of maintaining academic standards and prioritizing their studies while representing the interests of all students.
He stressed the need for students to focus on their academic activities and maintain high standards, adding that as representatives of all students, NANS members should ensure everyone’s interests are considered.
Dr. Osagie encouraged students to take advantage of the NELFUND initiative introduced by President Tinubu’s administration to support students nationwide and further disclosed that the Edo State government, led by Governor Monday Okpebholo, is committed to providing an enabling environment for students in tertiary institutions to thrive.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of NANS, Edo Axis, Comrade Ojumoola Tiimileyin, thanked the State Government for the measures put in place to secure the rights and welfare of students.
He further commended the Attorney General for the height the justice sector has obtained under his leadership, noting that they are ready to collaborate with the office.
