The wife of Edo State Governor Mrs. Betsy Obaseki and other great women of God led by Pst.  (Mrs.) Margaret Agbonifo, (Iye-Emohia) Chairman,  Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN, Edo State Chapter has urged Nigerians to decide to walk with God by decreeing to spread righteousness and pray for the nation and the state for peace and progress this year.

The appeal was made during this years’ Mothers Decree a Thing prayer session held at the all mothers International  Center by the Family Intercessory Ministries recently in Benin City.

The Governor’s wife in a goodwill message thanked God for the life of the vision bearing Margaret Agbonifo for sustaining the Mothers Decree A Thing prayer session every year.

According to Mrs. Obaseki who was represented by Dr. Nosa Aladeshelu and Hon Lady Belinder, the government of Edo State recognizes and feels the impact of the prayers and she assured the vision bearer that the ministry must continue and be sustained.

“It is our earnest desire that more lives are impacted this year and by next year all obstacles that we faced towards covering the prayer ground shall be removed and there shall be a covering in 2023.

While praying that the women will be alive to celebrate the next Mother’s Decree A Thing, she added that God will continue to increase the vision bearer with ideas and fresh unction.

The wife of the former Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria PFN President, Rev Mrs. Abiola Omobude who also commended the vision bearer for the gathering of women to pray noted that since the seed of God cannot die, therefore the Mother Decree A Thing cannot die.

She decreed amongst others for a change of power in Nigeria, the overturn of wickedness, and the destruction of strangers infiltrating and working against Nigeria.

The vision bearer, All Mothers International Centre, Pastor Dr. Mrs. M. O Agbonifo disclosed that the theme for this year is “ The year of the Almighty God,” because whatever God says He will do must be done when we wait patiently.

While lamenting that men are ruling the nation with their own idea, she noted that not until leaders hand over the nation to God there will be no peace.

“All those thinking Nigeria will be divided will be disappointed because God will settle the nation. We do not need to live in fear. When you put our cares in God’s hands He will put His peace in us,’ she added.

She said that there will be no peace in the land if the leaders refuse to put their trust in the lord, adding that those who know their God shall be strong and putting our lives in God’s hand is the assurance of victory.

The prayer session was attended by great women of God such as Bishop Margaret Idahosa of Church of God Mission, who was represented by Rev Joanne Abiona Abiola, Mrs.  Unuafe, and several men of God as well.

The vision bearer who gave out scholarships to students said Mother Decree A Thing will ensure that children will not go into things that will kill them. She also gave empowerment to over fifty people from different churches, such as sewing machines, grinding machines, hairdryers, 3, 000 wrappers, and financial empowerment.

In her words, “we do not just gather to pray in Mothers Decree A Thing, we also ensure that we reach out to their physical and spiritual needs.”
