Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince Kassim Afegbua has said that there are facts and figures to counter all the lies of the Governor Godwin Obaseki led administration and he should stop going about like a fugitive.
Prince Kassim Afegbua, a member of the Assets verification committee that probed the Obaseki administration who disclosed this in Benin City during a meeting with Senior Special Assistants SSA’s and Special Assistants SA’s to the Governor said the revelations from the committee report will make Edo people weep
According to him,” Edo people should not believe the lies of Obaseki and his social media urchins because Governor Okpebholo means well for the state and with the rate he is going, Edo people will soon know they have a leader with a good heart. That is why the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the state are joining the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“The time of reckoning is now. Obaseki is running around from one country to the other like a fugitive instead of coming to the state like his predecessors.
” Governor Okpebholo is very humble with rich dose of emotional intelligence. He is very rich in the grace of God and anointing.
” Governor Okpebholo needs our prayers because there are evil forces that are not sleeping, wishing him to fail, but God is on his side and we are proud of the achievements so far.”
The Commissioner said that apart from the giant strides of Governor Okpebholo which will be unveiled next month, there has been a reduction of debt inherited from the failed Obaseki regime and no money has been borrowed.
” The Governor has not taken the N100 Billion credit accessible to state governor’s from the Federal government and President Bola Tinubu has told the Minister of Works to ensure roads in Edo are repaired.
While assuring that massive road construction will commence during the dry season, the Commissioner disclosed that feasibility studies have commenced to recover failed Roads in the Government Reservation Area, GRA abandoned by Obaseki.
The Commissioner maintained that Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo who defeated a sitting senator to become a senator has done in one year what Obaseki did in eight years.
