A freelance journalist, Oluwatosin Oshibanjo, who was abducted from his home in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, has been found after being brutalized by unknown assailants. His mother, Tokunbo Bakre, revealed that motorcyclists discovered him unconscious by the roadside in the Ijebu-Ode area.
The abduction occurred after Oluwatosin became involved in a case where a woman accused a pastor of impregnating her and coercing her into multiple abortions. The woman eventually gave birth and claimed the pastor was responsible, though he denied the allegations.
Oluwatosin, recounting his ordeal, said he was attacked by men who posed as cultists rather than kidnappers. They tortured him, tied him up, and left him without food. After being declared missing, the abductors, fearing police pursuit, released him, abandoning him naked on the roadside.
Oluwatosin was eventually found by passersby, who contacted his mother, leading to his rescue and hospitalization. The police are investigating the incident, though no official comment has been provided at this time.
