A building collapse in Kirikasamma Local Government Area of Jigawa State has resulted in the death of one person, while seven others were injured. The incident occurred due to a heavy downpour in the area.
According to the council’s Information Officer, Musa Muhammad, the collapse happened at Kabak village, and five of the victims were hospitalized, while two were treated and discharged. The council’s Chairman, Muhammad Maji, visited the scene and sympathized with the victims, providing N500,000 to cover medical expenses and N100,000 emergency assistance to the bereaved families.
The incident highlights the need for proper building construction and maintenance to prevent such tragedies. The authorities are working to provide support to the affected families.
