In a heartwarming gesture that combined philanthropy with grassroots leadership, the Osazee Omorodion Foundation, in collaboration with the Executive Chairman of Egor Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Kelvin Ighodaro Eguakun, on Friday, September 12, 2025, distributed free writing materials to pupils across several primary schools in Egor, Edo State.
Beneficiaries included pupils of Olua, Edaiken, Oba Ewuare, Ugbowo, and Useh Primary Schools, each receiving packs containing five exercise books, a biro, and a pencil.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Osazee Omorodion, Managing Director of the Foundation, commended Dr. Eguakun for providing an enabling environment that made the outreach possible, praising his people-centered leadership and developmental drive.
In his response, Dr. Eguakun lauded Mr. Omorodion, a son of Egor in the diaspora, for giving back to his community. He urged other Edo indigenes at home and abroad to emulate the gesture, stressing that government alone cannot meet all the needs of the people. He prayed for more blessings on the benefactor and called for sustained partnerships to uplift the underprivileged.
The exercise drew appreciation from pupils, teachers, and school administrators, who described the support as timely amid economic hardship faced by families.
As part of his wider community engagement, Dr. Eguakun also paid a visit to the palace of the Edigin N’Useh to seek royal blessings for continued success in governance.
The foundation announced that the distribution will continue on Monday, September 15, 2025, with plans to reach more schools within Egor and adjoining local government areas.
