The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arrest of one suspect, Afolabi Taiwo, a suspected cultist who was carrying out acts of terrorism in Abi-Oro community in Sango-Ota area of the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
Mr Odutola said Mr Taiwo was arrested after attempting to attack members of the community who had raised the alarm.
She said: “The Ogun State Police Command, as part of the command’s efforts to combat criminal activities in Sango-Ota, Ogun State, has carried out the arrest of a 23-year-old suspect, Afolabi Taiwo, from Abioro community, Sango-Ota.” Afolabi After attempting to commit the crime, he was arrested by the diligent officers of the Sango Police Station with the assistance of the Sosafe Squad.
